The Scoring System is currently down. The number of users got so big that the old calculation code started choking. The entire ScoreBoard code needs to be rewritten. Unfortunately, I probably won't get around to it for a long time. So, I just disabled it so the site still functions properly instead of getting bogged down with timeouts and churching on calculations

Computer Christmas rewards users by putting the spotlight on the user with
the most contributions to the site during each week. The high scorer will
have his or her name displayed on every page along with the user's most
recent howto. A random image from the user's uploaded photos will also
be displayed.
