HowTo: HowTo: 4 channel 8 function 3Amp animation controller for $5 (update)  (Todd May)

Step 1 : NOTICE / WARNING (addendum to previous how-to)

This is an update to a previous post by Darren Shell regarding the use of a small 4 channel 8 function controller.

It should be noted that the controller will fry itself BEFORE the fuses blow.

I attempted to connect this device to 3 7 foot 4 bulb wide bands (like the kind your wrap pillars with) in addition to a 25 foot strand.

The three 7 foot bands operated fine but when I added the last band... It ran for about 5 minutes and then got stuck on one channel and was determined to be "toasted". :(

The fuses still were intact... But the controller was gone.

DO NOT OVERLOAD this unit... Although there are no specifications on the controller itself. I would not recommend going higher than 20% of the original number of bulbs that shipped with the unit.

Other than that... Darren's instructions were right on the mark.
