It's been a few months now since last discussion on microcontroller based controllers, and it's only 260 shoppping days until Christmas.
Is anyone game for re-starting the discussion?
Right now I think that the biggest issue is the software for controlling anything beyond the level-1 devices (from Tony Marchini's spec). It should be relatively easy to create a 'plugin' (what I would call a driver) for the level-1 device without any significant impact on the main program, but I think that any effective use of any higher-level compliant device will have a big impact beyond the plugin.
Thoughts?
