HowTo: SSR Pod enclosure  (Rodney Harris)

Step 6 : Thoughts on sealing/heatsinking

I have not put much thought into heatsinking because there is really not much room in there for anything else.

Some wide electrical tape will keep it together until I can come up with a better way and be able to open it back up for maintenance.

The Pod should probably be mounted vertically on a length of rebar or a stake with an "O" clamp. Or possibly suspended with a cup hook mounted on the top

Step 7 : Completed Pod

Step 8 : Other enclosures

Using identical wiring methods "The Puck" SSR as shown utilizes two 4" PVC test caps ($0.68 each) and a 2.5 inch length of 4" PVC pipe (est $0.20).

My assistant demonstrates the proper method of sealing the enclosure.
